Abenaki Lifeways Camp

This week-long camp is designed to expose children to the region's native history and culture. Activities follow the seasonal cycles of the year, and include cordage making, identifying, collecting and using spring plants, making toys and playing games, constructing models and life-size structures, cooking traditional food, basket making and sharing stories. The camp is limited to 12 children. Program requirements: Each participant brings their own lunch, drink and snack for the day.
Cost: $130 for historical society members and $150 for non-members.
Camp Vision
Camp Vision works to improve the self-esteem of our campers, ages 10-14, through a mentoring relationship with our counselors who also have learning disabilities and/or ADHD.

Elm City Track & Field Camp

A fun, hands-on camp for youth interested in learning more about the sport of track and field. Over the course of the week, campers will be exposed to multiple track and field events, and will learn basic technique, training and rules of the sport. The mornings will be very productive and focused, while the afternoons will be for fun.
Cost: $140/$130 for early registration. All campers will receive a t-shirt and a medal.

The program offered by Continuing Education at Keene State College combines fun and learning. Classes are taught by area school teachers, faculty and local artisans. All breaks are supervised by college staff.
Classes offered this summer include LEGO engineering, the presidential election, CSI KSC, web page design, writing, puppetry, roller coaster design, and math game mania.
Cost: $125 half-day/$200 full-day for week long camp.

Soccer Tots and Little Kickers

One and two-hour sessions teach soccer fundamentals in a fun atmosphere. At the same time, children develop their motor skills through agility, balance and coordination exercises.

If you are a serious soccer player and want to learn soccer fundamentals while having fun in a challenging setting this is the camp for you. Amenities: XARA soccer ball and T-shirt.

Keene State Team Week

For high school, junior varsity and club teams with 14 or more players. Teams train together with a staff coach and college counselor. Amenities: XARA soccer ball and T-shirt.

Monadnock Area Cross Country Camp

Grades 6-college freshmen; CoEd; Aug. 6-10
Ability-based running groups take advantage of beautiful trails to start each day. This is followed by core strength training and specific teaching in the sport from some of the most successful and motivational runners in the region. Each day ends with popular cooperative games and free swim. Day camp becomes overnight camp with Thursday, Thursday night, and Friday spent running the "Fiddlehead 5K" at beautiful Storr's Pond Recreation Center in Hanover.
Campers get free admission to a 5K race, access to the best distance runner of the region, a camp T-shirt, gear bag, plus all food and costs associated with Thursday and Friday camping. Cost: $210/$200 early registration.

NH Dance Institute Summer Intensive

This program will ignite a passion for dance using NHDI dance style as well as dance genres such as modern and hip hop. Children 7-15 will have the opportunity to choreograph some of their own dance moves, while the younger dancers enjoy games and crafts.
Cost: $200 for one week or $300 for both weeks. No previous dance experience necessary.

Have you ever wondered what it was like for children in Cheshire County during America's Way for Independence? During these five-day camps, participants will become Sarah and Issac Wyman's children and take on a role to help run their tavern. Campers will learn and experience what it took to serve and comfort tavern guests; experience a typical day of chores and seasonal work using tools and skills of early residents; learn to make necessary family items for tavern use including candles, yarn, and clothing; among many other activities. Each camp is limited to 12 children. Program requirements: Each participant brings their own lunch, drink and snack for each day.

Roots and Wings Nature Camp

Established in 1982, Roots and Wings is an environmental day camp based in nature study to develop roots and ventures into creative projects to strengthen young wings. Leap over brooks, run down hills, play hide-and-seek in the forest and follow animal tracks. Build twig villages, make paper butterflies, play new games and sing around the campfire.

The facility includes a playground, sports area, gym, stage, lunchroom, and focus classrooms for computer science, art and music. The location allows for access to community resources such as the library, town playgrounds and fields, and Keene State College facilities. Field trips include state and city recreation parks and swimming areas, theaters, museums, zoos and businesses.
Cost: For a less than 8-hour day - $36/day & $175/week; For an 8+ hour day - $40/day & $190/week.

Trilogy field hockey has been established to give young female athletes the opportunity to develop individual skills, enthusiasm and passion for the game of field hockey. The camp offers basic fundamental instruction for beginners as well as more advanced techniques for experienced players.
